Cascade Village to Durango Colorado Fun Run

We’ll be running from Cascade Village to Durango Colorado on the Colorado Trail on Saturday, June 21st, 2025.

Summer solstice 2025!

We’re looking for volunteers to support at 1-2 checkpoints along the route.

Here are a few potential routes:

  1. Cascade Village to Purg, up road to Hermosa Creek Trail, then near its bottom, climb Clear Creek to join the Colorado Trail to its finish. This is 51 miles with 8k feet of climbing:

  1. Cascade Village to Elbert Creek to Hermosa Creek then Salt Creek up to the CT, then follow that trail to its finish. This is 54 miles with 10k feet of climbing:

  1. Cascade Village to Cascade Creek to Colorado Trail, then follow that to its finish. This is 62 miles with 12k feet of climbing.

This one is the one I’m most excited about (and scared about). Elbert Creek option 2 is ranking high for me at the moment
